Wakannai = Forma colloquiale di wakaranai che è già forma colloquiale di wakarimasen, cioé il negativo del verbo wakaru. Tradotto: non capisco / non lo so

Wakannai is a informal way of "Wakaranai". Most Japanese, especially the younger generation use Wakannai. "wakaRAnai" means I don't know, and adding "yo" at the end of a sentence adds emphasis to the statement. It's "Wakannai yo" derived from "Wakaranai yo"
