Showing existence using the verbs IMASU (for living things)
Mostrare l'esistenza usando i verbi IMASU (per persone, animali, soggetti animati)

★ IMASU います (IRU) = C’è/Ci sono
★ IMASEN いません (negative/negativo) = Non C’è/ Non Ci sono

Ps: we use the subject particle “GA” between the NOUN and the VERB

猫がいます (Neko ga imasu)
There is a cat / C’è un gatto

子供がいます (Kodomo ga imasu)
There is a child / C’è un bambino

犬と猫がいます。inu to neko ga imasu
there are cats and dogs / ci sono cani e gatti

子犬と子猫がいません Koinu TO koneko GA imasen
there are no puppies and kittens / non ci sono cuccioli e gattini

Petto WA imasu ka do you have a pets?/ Hai animali?
Iie, petto WA imasen no, there are no pets/ No non ci sono animali
