Una curiosa cittadina del periodo EDO che conserva ancora oggi la stessa atmosfera popolare di un tempo passato. Si trova al confine nord-orientale di Tokyo, e' stata resa famosa da Tora-san, protagonista principale di una serie di film intitolati "Otokowa Tsuraiyo". Dopo aver passeggiato per la via centrale dello shopping, si arriva al Taishakuten Temple, un tempio buddista Nichiren risalente al 1629. all'interno troverete pannelli in legno scolpiti raffiguranti alcune scene tratte dal Sutra del Loto! veramente stupefacenti!! DA VEDERE!!!

 Tokyo's Shibamata district has preserved much of its townscape, which is reminiscent of old downtown Tokyo. Daikyoji Taishakuten Temple is at the end of the Taikashuten Mall / outdoor shopping street. Walking eastward down the street eastward, you reach the splendid Nitenmon Gate. Beyond that lies the temple's main hall, whose walls are decked out with elaborate carvings. the 3D wooden carvings around a smaller temple behind the main Daikyoji Taikashuten Temple, are absolutely gorgeous!! WONDERFUL
