La data è dicembre, prima del nuovo anno, e deriva da un gioco di parole in cui il 29 si pronuncia "Fuku".

「福の日」です。おせち料理に使われるさまざまな練りものの製品を製造・販売をする株式会社紀文食品が制定しました。正月行事の意味、いわれを知ることで福を招いてもらうのが目的です。日付は、お正月前の12月であり、29日が「ふく」と読む語呂合わせからとされています
