Il 13 dicembre e' il giorno dei gemelli (双子の日 futago no hi), infatti il 13 dicembre 1874 venne annunciata la dichiarazione per l'ordine dei gemelli! Prima il nato-prima era il piu' giovane e il nato-dopo il piu' vecchio, ma con la dichiarazione il primo nato diventa il piu' vecchio e quello nato dopo diventa il piu' giovane. @.@
In giapponese fratello maggiore si dice ani (兄), sorella maggiore ane (姉), fratello minore ototo (弟) e la sorella minore imoto (妹). I fratelli sono kyodai (兄弟) e le sorelle shimai (姉妹).

太政官布告が出されました。それまでは、後に産まれた子を兄・姉とする地方もありました。
