小西六写真工業(現:コニカ)が世界初の自動焦点(オートフォーカス)カメラ「コニカC35AF」を発売しました。
そのカメラは「コニカC３５AF」で愛称は「ジャスピンコニカ」、２年間で１００万台を生産したほどの大ヒット商品でした。
