Merry Christmas // Buon Natale // メリークリスマス
-------------------------------------
Il Natale non e' una festa propria del Giappone. Partendo dalla parola
inglese "Christmas" e traslitterandola in Katakana, abbiamo: クリスマス (Kurisumasu).
Il primo party in Giappone risale al 1874!
E' una festa romantica da passare principalmente con il proprio partner
piuttosto che con la famiglia. Ovviamente non puo' mancare "Christmas
Cake (クリスマスケーキ, Kurisumasu keki)" pan di spagna con panna e fragole,
decorata a tema natalizio.... :D
Quindi.. Buon Natale, "Merry Christmas", メリークリスマス (Merii Kurisumasu),
"Christmas omedetou" (クリスマスおめでとう)!
-----------------------------
There is no Japanese word for "Merry Christmas." People just say it as
an English word with Japanese pronunciation: "Merii Kurisumasu メリークリスマス
.
Christmas in Japan is perceived as when romantic miracles happen like if
someone invited you for Christmas Eve alone there is more than just
friendship implications. Something that has also become a tradition is
eating Christmas cakes!
A Christmas cake (kurisumasu keki クリスマスケーキ) in Japan is simply a sponge
cake frosted and decorated with strawberries.
