Il 23 giugno e' il giorno delle Olimpiadi. Dal 1948 si usa per celebrare l'anniversario del Comitato olimpico internazionale creato il 23 giugno 1894 per la rinascita dei Giochi olimpici.

6月23日は、オリンピックデーです。1894(明治27)年、国際オリンピック委員会(IOC)がパリで創立されました。
フランスのクーベルタン男爵の提唱で、オリンピック復興に関する国際会議が開かれ、
1896(明治29)年にアテネで第1回オリンピック大会の開催することが決まり、国際オリンピック委員会を組織しました。
これを記念して6月23日は「オリンピックデー」に定められています。
