4月20日は、郵政記念日です。1934(昭和9)年に逓信省(現・日本郵政株式会社)が 「逓信記念日」として制定しました。
逓信省が郵政省・電気通信省に二分割された1950(昭和25)年に「郵政記念日」と改称、
1959(昭和34)年に「逓信記念日」に戻されましたが、2001(平成13)年の省庁再編に伴い再び「郵政記念日」となりました。
