8 Ottobre e' il giorno dei Tabi! I tabi (足袋) sono i famosi calzini tradizionali di cotone giapponesi che arrivano all'altezza della caviglia e che separano l'alluce dalle altre dita del piede. Ricorrenza emanata nel 1988.

七五三・お正月・成人の日、といった和服を着て足袋を履く機会が多くなるシーズンを前に、
末広がりで縁起のいい8日を足袋の日としました。

October 8 is Tabi's Day! Tabi (足袋) are traditional Japanese socks dating back to the 15th century. Ankle-high and with a separation between the big toe and other toes, they are worn by both men and women with zori, geta, and other traditional thonged footwear. Recurrence issued in 1988.
